#4763 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB, 44WCF with G-VG bore
Description:
#4763 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB, 44WCF with G-VG bore (about a 6 on a scale of 10, having some medium wear and scale, but still looking like it could spin a bullet) and smooth action. Serial numbered in the 106XXX range, (late 1882). The exterior of this rifle has a chocolate brown patina with some thin plum-blue mixed in with some very light rust and grime build-up and minor pitting. The metal overall is otherwise crisp-edged and devoid of any serious damage or blemishes. The buttstock is well above average with no serious chips, slivers, or cracks, but the forearm has sizable chips at the forecap (see photos) . Standard sights.
Nothing rare or wonderful, but a decent original 130 year old Winnie in slightly better-than-average condition. About “VG” $1850
