#4851 Iver-Johnson “American BullDog” 44CF, excellent bore and action
Description: #4851 Iver-Johnson “American BullDog” 44CF, excellent bore and action. Made between 1875-1897, there were several variations and calibers of these well-built and sturdy handguns, but the 44CF is amongst the more scarce and desirable configuration, especially in the “hammerless” design (not having a hammer spur for pocket use and thus only a D/A action). About “Excellent” in that it retains approx 90%+ original factory nickel finish and looks almost unused. The BIG deficit, however, are the chips at the locater pins on the rear of the grips (see photos), so probably would rate more as “Extra-Fine”. $595 SOLD Antique: Yes
