#4932 Winchester 1886 OBFMCB , 5XXX range (1887), 40/82WCF
Description:
#4932 Winchester 1886 OBFMCB , 5XXX range (1887), 40/82WCF with smooth action and about a “6” bore on a scale of 10, being fairly heavily leaded and showing wear. With some lead remover and some good scrubbing, it may clean out well enough to be reasonably accurate. The exterior is deep “attic brown” uncleaned patina with no pitting, good markings, and a thin smooth grey on the receiver. Average wood with just a few light bumps, bruises, and some minor drying cracks. Standard sporting buckhorn rear barrel sight, open front, and standard trigger. Just a very decent and VERY early Winchester 1886 that shows average use and not abused or messed over. The 40/82 cartridge is a great shooting, hard hitting round and can be formed from easily attained 45/70 cases (and is usually also
available from obsolete reproduction brass dealers on the Internet). VG/VG+
