1860 Army Colt
Description: Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver with working action and all matching serial numbers ..... including the wedge. Attic find from the South with Southern history of usage. The original walnut grips are still in good condition with military inspector mark visible on both sides. There is a name hand stamped on the bottom of both of the grips J. Whigha can be made out clearly. See photos. Verbal Provenance when bought in Eastern Georgia to John W. Whigam 51st regiment Georgia Infantry. Colt Address is present but faint. No cylinder scene. Serial numbers on cylinder are faint but present. Military inspection marked on trigger guard. 1862 production SN 50705. Well used and abused War Horse with southern provenance. Has thick attic patina throughout most of the gun with a couple of small areas on the barrel (see photos) exposing the finish. Priced accordingly and priced right for a CS provenance gun.
