Guns International #: 100448957
1894 Winchester with Factory Special Ordered 16" barrel, otherwise known as a Trapper Model. Serial number is 712,396 manufactured in 1913. 16" round barrel with full magazine, both retain 60 to 65% original blue with some light staining in areas (no pitting on either). Nice 3 leaf rear sight and correct blade front sight. I will rate the bore a solid 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. Receiver retains about 10% of it's original blue with the remainder a gray / brown patina. Now the receiver does retain a couple areas of light pitting (see pics). Action functions very nicely. Both the gum wood forend and buttstock are in very nice condition for a trapper, they do show the normal handling marks dings and scrapes that you will expect to see from this type of Winchester. No cracks or major chips, there is a gouge in the left side of forend where someone added some type of filler, no big deal and someone could take it out if they wanted. Forend does measure the short dimension of 7 7/8". Buttplate still retains some of it's original blue. This is a well above average Factory Trapper, so don't miss your chance to own it. Must ship to a FFL or Curio and Relics license holder only. This firearm as with any other should be checked first before any attempt is made to fire / operate it. Please feel free to email or call me at 315-374-3706.
