Antique English Percussion Double Hammer Gun
Description:
Antique English Percussion Double Hammer Gun, by Williams, serial # None, cal 12/16 ga., barrels are 26” from the barrel tip to the front of the nipple, the left barrel appears to be 16 gauge and the right barrel 12 gauge, there are a few areas of very fine peppery pitting on the left barrel but nothing drastic or alarming, the rib between the barrels is marked “London Fine Twist”. The sideplates (marked WILLIAMS), hammers and trigger guard are engraved. The stock shows two fine hairline cracks one on each side starting behind the side plate and extending to the rear tang screw along with two old metal repairs below the trigger guard that appear professionally done. The ram rod is missing. The shotgun functions but hasn’t been shot therefore since it’s an Antique we don’t recommend it be shot unless it’s checked and certified by a licensed gunsmith if used for anything other than non-operational purposes. The overall condition as described is good – good plus. Inv.: # 22-167
