BSA War Office Military .22 Rifle
Description:
British made B.S.A. bolt action .22 cal. rifle in single shot configuration. The rear barrel sight is a military type slider graduated from 25 to 200 yards with a Beech type front and 2 base type front. The stock has a cut out and 2 base holes for a rear sight. The buttplate is of brass with a spring loaded trap door over a storage compartment containing a pull through cleaner. The light color stock has fancy grain with some oil staining on both sides. The 24" barrel has a bright, excellent bore. The left stock has a 1 1/2" high stamping of the BSA 3 rifle trade mark. A nice .22 single shot that was used as a cadet trainer as well as sold to civilians by BSA. Not a common rifle in the USA. FFL or C&R
