Beretta Black Diamond Grade Extra 28ga. Cased Unfired. One of A Kind!
Description: This is a Dr. Franco Beretta(EFFEBI) Black Diamond Grade Extra 28ga. RARE, ONE OF A KIND COLLECTABLE. THIS IS NOT A STANDARD GRADE GUN AS LISTED IN BLUE BOOK. 27 1/2" bbl, LOP=14 1/4", DH=1 5/8", DT=7 1/8". This gun was ordered by Double M Shooting Sports of Connecticut, to be shown at the 1985 Atlanta Shot Show. It is featured on the cover of the July 1985 issue of "Shotgun Sports". (Included with gun-see photos) This was the first gun ever made by Beretta with the EXTRA GRADE ENGRAVING. The engraving was done by hand by Master Engraver, Lionello Sabatti who signed the gun under the receiver. The enlays are made with more than 10 grams of pure gold. The wood, stock and forend are made from the same piece of select Italian, specially seasoned walnut. All parts are finished and fitted by hand. The rib is also hand checkered. Fitted leather case is in excellant condition with all hinges and clasps in great working order.Due to the fine materials and care that went into this fine firearm it is an extremely rare and collectable piece. The hand rubbed oil finish has lost some of it's original luster. This is an easy and pleasurable fix with a little time and effort. There are a couple of very small dings on the rt. side of the butt and another directly behind the initial plate. On the bottom of the receiver there are a couple of partial "etched" finger prints. Not visible in the photos. You will not see these unless you are looking for them and a good smith should be able to remove these at a reasonable price. The gun is lettered and letter is also available with the gun. See pictures. If you are looking for a fine and rare Italian masterpiece, you have found it. Feel free to call or e-mail with questions.
