Brasher, London. Very fine .48 cal. Breech-loading, flintlock, turn-off, folding trigger pocket pistol, ca. 1815. Overall length 6”. Nicely engraved and retains a pleasing gray patina showing little use. Cock screw an old replacement. Very nice walnut stock with vacant oval silver escutcheon. The safety incorporates both the cock and the frizzen, a feature found only on the best guns of this type. Beautifully made and mechanically perfect showing little evidence of use.
