COLT 1860 Army Revolver
Description:
COLT 1860 Army Revolver. SN 135XXX which would make its year of manufacturer 1863. It appears all original but perhaps for the screw which holds the barrel wedge in place and perhaps the two screws that hold the backstrap to the frame, but I am uncertain. Roll engraved scene on the cylinder is gone and the bluing is generally gone. All that can be read on the top of the barrel is "New York, US America". I would rate its condition as 15% or so. It is tight and the action works as it should. All SN's match that I can find...barrel, frame, trigger guard. The bottom of the backstrap SN is obscured. All-in-all in my estimation a great entry level collectable at a price which is fair for a classic Colt revolver made the year the Battle of Gettysburg was fought. I acquired it as part of an estate settlement. Shipping will be $25 insured to your door, unless your local minders add further restrictions to federal law.
