Carl Gustafs Stads 1910 Swedish Mauser M96 - ALL MATCHING
Description: This is also one of the last four Swedes from my collection (reference my 1899 Carl Gustaf) and is just as beautiful, being in excellent physical condition inside and out. It reliably gives me sub-M.O.A. five shot groups at 100 yards with Swedish military surplus ammo. The muzzle is threaded. It comes with a front sight hood. All numbers match though there are no serial numbers on the rear sight and butt plate. Solid blueing on steel except at thumb hold of bolt release, edges of trigger guard and the natural wear points of sling swivels. The butt plate exhibits the same even grey finish as that of my 1899. The wood is without the usual dings and scratches common to most surplus M96s as has a nice satin like finish to it. Serial number J.V. 276015 I know Swedish Mausers shoot well. That's why I collected them. But, I believe that this rifle shoots as well as it does and is in such fine shape because it was used by someone who cared for it, perhaps someone who did some match shooting with it.. I received this gun right off of the boat by Century Arms International and on the bottom of the butt plate a name was written by felt tip marker - Hannu S. Stenstorp. Too cool. I've never removed that ink. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
