Guns International #: 100550435
Seller's Inventory #: C10421
Colt Inscribed 1860 Army .44 caliber revolver. Made in 1862 with an 8” barrel. Metal has a dark gray to brown patina. All numbers are matching. Traces of cylinder scene can be seen. Bottom of the grips are carved “J.J. Ames”. Grips have been refinished. Upon researching Ames we have found a person out in California in the 1850’s. We do not know if this is the same person; more research should be done. Gun works perfectly, one nipple is broken off, but could be easily fixed. Interesting gun that has the possibility of finding some really good history.
