S402591 was built in 1942. This excellent plus condition example shows 97% original blue with a few very small areas of spotting. The most noticeable on one of the cylinder flutes. The piece shows little if any evidence of any usage. The right grip panel show the initials of a former owner scratched into the panel butt (H.J.G.) The same panel shows what appears to be scratch marks which has damaged some of the checkering. This piece is in its' original box which shows the correct pencil number on the underside; it also shows a number "0384PS" which was probably the factory assembly or order number. The former owner also affixed 2 labels, one on the top and the second on the end over the special label; we have not attempted to remove these. An excellent in- the-box example for the Colt collector. FFL or C&R
