Chambered in 44 Henry Rimfire. Manufactured from 1875 to 1880. Originally produced with a 7 1/2 inch barrel with blue and nickel finishes. The majority of these revolvers were shipped to the southwest and were used hard. It was not uncommon to have the barrels cut down at the time. This example has had the barrel cut and at some point was expertly "stretched", (section added bringing the barrel length back to 7 1/2 inches), and lined. The bore is frosty but has strong rifling.
