DEAN ADAMS MODEL 1851 REVOLVER BY AUGUSTE FRANCOTTE, 54 CAL
Description:
This is a very clean .54 cal Adams Model 1851 revolver with a 7" barrel. The revolver has about 75% original blue and original walnut grips with no cracks or chips. Cylinder was cased colored on these. The revolver is deisgned to be double action only with safety. Mechanically crisp, with near excellent bore. All nipples are intact. Many of these were imported to US during Civil War and used by the South. A Civil War period Colt Army or Navy in this shape would easily be worth twice as much.
