English Fowler Very nice gun circa late 1820s. Lock is marked Adams and is most likely an English made lock. Barrel is dated 1827. Original flintlock. Barrel is 42 1/8"" long. Behind upper tang is a silver wire inlay that is very nicely done in a border. There is an escutcheon on the wrist with initials in the silver escutcheon and a border of nicely done silver wire inlay. Stock has three keys to the barrel. Metal on barrel has light staining but no real pitting. All wood is sharp. Very well made American Fowler!
