FN Mauser Sporter (De Luxe) Presentation Rifle
Description:
Offered for your consideration is a pristine Belgian made FN Mauser Sporter (De Luxe) Presentation Rifle in 30-06 caliber which I am listing for a friend. The presentation grade factory engraving is breathtaking in it's depth and sharpness. The dragon motif was created and first executed by FN's master engraver Felix Funken. The gun is in pristine condition.and it has obviously spent most of it's life in a gun safe.
Included is a mounted Leopold M8-3X scope with Grifffin & Howe quick realease side mount and rings. This gun was manufactured in 1954 according to the original owner who is now deceased. The gun has been with the present owner (second owner) for about 25 years. Using the Gun Blue Book as a guide I believe this gun would recieve a 95% condition rating. I believe it is close to a 98% gun but it does have one small defect. If you look very closely at the last macro photo you will see a tiny piece of wood chiped loose on the stock at the lower rear corner of the scope mount. The piece has been glued back on but it was not a perfect job. This small defect could be eliminated by a professional gunsmith. Other than for this tiny chip there are only a few very light handling marks on the wood that you have to look closely to find.
Please look at the attached photos carefully as they are of the actual gun you will recieve. The pictures provide a much better discription of condition than I can. Please feel free to ask questions. This gun is priced for quick sale as the Thirty-fourth Edition Blue Book of Gun Values shows a value of $3,200.00 (95%) to $3,800.00 (98%) for the rifle alone without the scope and mounts.
Shipping will be the actual cost with insurance and a new padded hard plastic case for your protection. You will be advised on how much shipping is at the end of the sale. It will be the actual cost from my FFL to your FFL with no mark-up.
The price has just been reduced from $2,995.00 to $2,495.00. If you know and appreciate high quality guns this is a bargin price for a hard to find classic rifle. Don't let it get away.
