Description:
French Model 1842 "Pumkin Slinger" .69 Caliber musket manufactured at Maubeuge Arsenal in 1856. Early conversion to a "sporting" configuration most likely for civilian use. Stock is sound though it shows considerable use with some wood loss around buttplate. Metal is evenly pitted but retains clear legible stamps and markings. Barrel appears to have had rust cleaned off. Lockplate is clearly marked "Maubeuge" with very nice brown finish. Lock is in good working order. Nipple is a modern replacement. Ramrod is missing. Overall NRA good, and an interesting piece of French and/or Civil War history.
Buyer to pay shipping/ handling. 3 day inspection privilege. Ships directly to your door, no FFL required.
