This Ithaca was the first prototype for the Ithaca Model 37 Deerslayer, manufactured by the Ithaca Gun Co. Ithaca N.Y.. The gun has obviously been used but stock and barrel remain free of nicks and gouges. Because the gun was a prototype, there are no manufacturing stamps on the gun!
