This gun was made circa 1874-1883. In 1884 the firm changed to James Mc Cricrick and Sons. This is an exceptionally nice hammer gun restored about 5 years ago. Wood and checkering was done by The Stock Doctor, Case color by Doug Turnbull and Damascus barrels by Keith Kearcher. The highly figured Damascus barrels are 29" in length, choked .000/.000 and measure .734R, .736L. The nicely engraved action features a Jones underlever, sculpted fences and gracefully curved hammers. Length of pull to an engraved steel buttplate is 14 3/8". The gun is 7 pounds even, balances at the hinge pin, is tight on face and with 2 3/4" chambers is ready for the field.
