9mm Code 42 1939 Chamber dated 6
MUST SEE
Description:
Here is a beautiful classic example of a 9mm 'Code 42' chamber dated 1939. I bought it some 35years ago and don't remember much about any 'story'. It was just so super clean and though it was the nicest original warime Luger I had ever seen. It has a 6" Naval lenght barrel - the near flawless finish appears original. - I see no evidence whatsoever of a restoration - polishmarks rounded edges dulled stampings etc. everything is crystal sharp. Only the factory or a master gunsmith could do this quality of finish. everything but the magazine is matching and I have others to chose from at the buyers disgression if he so desires. The grips are not original. I saw these unigue Luger grips long ago and thought they added a a flair of class and intrigue. They are simply a detailed enlargement of the Eagle over the Swaztica stamp on the right side of the chamber. VERY COOL! However - I will be glad to exchange these for the standard original plain grips. This one just can't be upgraded appearancewise. Another fine conversatin pierce of WWII history from the vaults of Joe Cortina. 813-8861235
