half round/half octagon barrel
with integral rib, integral ramp front sight, and tangent rear sight. Bore is excellent. Standard round top reciever with stippled front ring. This gun has the rare and desirable Lyman 35 bolt release peep sight. All numbers matching including the stock. The only non-factory alteration to this gun is a single tapped hole in the front reciever ring.
Single checkered trigger with trigger bow floorplate release. Floorplate marked "Germany" indicating manufacture for export. Blueing at 90% and starting to show a patina. Stock is solid with forend checkering and horn schnable tip. Horn grip cap is rough on the surface and horn buttplate has significant worm hole damage. This number matching 94 year old war horse has lots of character and oozes history and it has the neat Lyman 35. What's not to like!
