Guns International #: 100475593
Seller's Inventory #: AL3605
Merrill 1st Model Carbine. Well above average for a Merrill. These guns were used really hard during the Civil War and finding a gun with finish is almost unheard of. The barrel has 75% original blue with the remainder turning to a smooth brown patina that dots the finish. The lock still has about 80% of its original case colors. The stock has a few old nicks and dings, but overall is very nice. Serial number is 4266 and all matching. The bore is excellent and the mechanics are tight. Very nice sharp gun. It’s one of the few you will ever see with any finish at all!
