Description:
Serial #8383, .32 S&W, 3" barrel with a very good, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves near the breech. This is a nice little folding hammer revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, and barrel with the metal retaining 85-90% of the original nickel finish that has some small areas of dark freckling under the barrel rib on either side and some further specks of plum-brown freckling on and around the cylinder. The checkered hard rubber grips are numbered to the gun on the interior and have only some very minor wear and flattening of the points as well as a stable hairline crack on the butt of the left panel. The lock-up is still tight and the mechanism functions flawlessly. Included with the revolver is its original light brown cardboard box which is in fine shape; intact with only minor soiling and light edge and corner wear. The interior line engraving and operating instructions are still clear and nearly complete and there is a hand written period-added label on the lid that reads, "This Gun/is/Loaded/Look Out". This is a great little Merwin in fine overall condition and comes with a rare original box. Antique
