OLD CONFEDERATE USED MODEL 1863 RIFLE MUSKET ARSENAL ALTERED TO CARBINE. An E. Robinson U.S. contract Model 1863 with barrel arsenal shortened to 27” and an altered U.S. Model 1817 shortened brass tipped ramrod added. Heavily used and with cracks at the toe and wrist of the stock with old tacked sheet copper repairs. Wonderful original untouched patina to both the metal and the wood. Old Maryland collection.
