The color case hardened steel action and lockplates have full coverage of exquily engraved classic large open shaded acanthus scroll. This coverage continues to the trigger guard, extra long tang, operating lever and forearm Anson release. The "Purdey & Sons, London, England" logo is on the bottom and both sideplates. The engraver's signature can be found on the right side of the trigger plate.

Dark, nicely streaked, stump figured European walnut is used for the English straight grip stock and the splinter forearm. This is argueably the finest piece of wood Purdey has ever put on a firearm. Dropper points and 24 LPI checkering on the grip surfaces are done to perfection. There is a blank gold oval in the toeline for someone's initials. The Purdey leather case has reinforced leather corners and is lined with burgundy felt and has the black leather 'Purdey" label. Accessories include a 2 peice wooden cleaning rod, Purdey marked oil bottle, striker case with spare strikers and springs and Purdey marked snap caps.
