There were about 20,000 of these cup primed, front loading revolvers produced in the mid 1860's. This one retains generous amounts of unpolished silver on the brass frame. Losses are mostly on the high edges, left side and bottom of the frame. The cylinder retains most of the dulling blue and the patent markings are clear and sharp. The ejecter knob is missing but this is something your gunsmith can easily replace. The grips retain 80% of the original varnish. The barrel is greying and marked "MERWIN & BRAY FIREARMS CO. N.Y.
