SUPER RARE Number 1 Laredo Texas Special Order .41 D.A.
Description:
Attention fellow Texans: Now is your time to pay attention to this add, especially! As you know, there was once a T.V series called "Laredo" and one of the reasons the show was developed was because it was one, if not the most, roughest, toughest, dangerous border towns across the River from Old Mexico. This gun is a special order gun. and was sold to Thomas O'Connor in December of 1886, special order, as in 5 inch barrel - not the 4 and a 1/2 inch standard. Factory nickel & Pearl grips, and as a thunderer, in .41 Long Colt. The gun is still in great operational order, in time - every time in D.A. or single action. Good bore. Good markings and handles just right with a Colt documenting letter. Also included are newspaper clippings about Mr. O'Connor. Apparently, one of his stores in Laredo was visited by a Mexican wrecklessly smoking - and the place blew up. If you take the time as a real Texan and read these newspaper clippings, you will begin to visualize the type of people that each other were dealing with. This was a gun not sold to the average man, but obviously special ordered. I have seen other guns gone to Texas - like many of my Fort Griffin Sharps - but this one seems to be the most outstanding because of the history of the notorious Laredo followed by just across the river, New Laredo.
If you're a serious collector like myself, then you will know that Texas guns are number one over all of the other states. Time payments are available on this gun for up to one year. Any questions, feel free to call my phone numbers. Eves only. Also note - left side of barrel has holster ware. Shipping is $60.00. 3 day inspection period. Feel free to make me an offer.
