For sale is a Schmidt-Rubin Gew.1911 infantry rifle, mfg'd in 1917. This model has a stronger receiver than the previous models to handle the higher pressure of the 7.5x55 cartridge. The gun is in overall VG condition with the wood having the usual handling dents and dings, but no cracks, breaks or wood loss. The metal has 95%+ blueing on exposed surfaces except the buttplate which shows considerably more wear. On the high use areas of the receiver the blueing is a brown patina. There is no rust or pitting. The bore is excellent with shiny rifling. It also has the muzzle cap. The "whiskey barrel" knob on the bolt (more accurately-- the "cam follower handle" knob) is a recent replacement.
Ships only to the 48 contiguous states. Postal money order preferred. Buyer to pay $35 shipping, and must provide ink signed copy of FFL (if doing a transfer), or C&R. Buyer is also responsible to ensure compliance with additional local and state regs.
