Sharps Carbine 9th Cavalry Marked. Gun is well used and just as found. It has the 9th Cavalry marking on either side of the frame. There is a piece of wood that broke from the wrist and there is a period wire repair. Metal shows good use and stock is weathered. The 9th Cavalry was also know as the Buffalo Soldiers because they were made up of Black soldiers. They were stationed in Texas and New Mexico and fought in the Apache Wars. Very neat and historic gun.
