Smith & Wesson Model 65-7 .357 AS NEW
Description:
The model 65 was produced from 1973 to 1999, then some minor changes were made. It continued to be produced until 2004. The model 65 was always a popular gun with law enforcement officers, as it could handle full-power .357 magnum or .38 +P loads without a problem, and had very good balance and handling characteristics. The model 65 is no longer produced, but can be found used or as new in box. While it's not a collectors item (yet), it is a very desirable revolver. Specifications Caliber: .357 Magnum, 38 Special or .38 S&W Special +P Capacity: 6 Rounds Barrel Length: 4" HB Front Sight: Serrated Ramp Rear Sight: Fixed Notch Firing System: double action/single action Grip: Hogue Rubber Trigger: .312" Smooth Target Hammer: .265" Target Frame: Medium Finish: Satin Stainless Overall length: 8-7/8" Material: Stainless Steel Weight Empty: 35 ounces & Wesson Model 65-7. Now as you know S&W stopped making this model around 2005. Meaning they don't make this type anymore. It is only going to go up in value, and it has. This stainless steel version is basically "As New". Meaning very well cared for, not shot out and beat. Like a lot of this model that are being sold. Most are truck guns thrown under a seat. If you take care and shoot this gun like you care, it is only going to go up in value. Now is the time to invest in something that won't fluctuate like gold or oil. Instead go up in value, because like i said "they don't make it anymore". Now i am not saying the gun is new, but pretty close. The Model 65, like most wheel-guns, carries six rounds. If the hard-hitting .357 Magnum is too much gun for your wrist or wallet, .38 Specials in +P and normal variety can be loaded as well. Ear protection is a must when using powerful cartridges, especially with pistol-length barrels. I’ve heard .357s described as a grenade exploding and can’t argue with that assessment. Initially I didn’t appreciate the advantage of using .38 Specials in the same gun until my wife’s first trip to the gun range. While she handles the .357’s recoil very well, the soft-shooting .38s are ideal for more economical training. It also allows one to master the fundamentals of shooting revolvers without developing bad habits. After an hour of trigger time with the 65-7, she was hooked! Will only ship to an FFL. Accept USPS Money Orders, Bank Check, Personal Check. Payment is expected in 5-7 days. Shipping is USPS Priority Mail 2-Day. Buyer may or may not pay for shipping. Depends on the deal.
