Springfield 1st model 1870 single-shot rifle, 1 of 1000. Chambers .50-70 caliber ammunition in a trapdoor breechblock. Barrel length is 32-9/16" with a fixed front sight. The rear sight can be raised for elevation. The metal is showing patina and some rough areas. Wood shows scratches and has a few letters engraved in the stock, no cracks. Missing the packing rod. The trapdoor is a little loose, but the hammer is tight. No serial number. No FFL required to ship.
