Very Nice Siamese Marked Model 1907 Winchester Self-Loading-Rifle
Description: Serial #53535, .351 SLR, 20” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a very interesting, 1950s-made rifle that retains 92-95% of the original blue finish that has some scattered very small spots of freckling and some mild silvering and fading at the muzzle and other high edges. Some further freckling is present along the charging rod and there is some further gray fading along the sides of the magazine. The walnut forend and buttstock are in fine shape having only some minor handling marks marring the otherwise excellent original finish. A large issue or rack number is present on the belly of the stock just aft of the pistol grip, stamped in crisp Siamese/Thai numerals: “(K). (Th). 169032”. There were about 4,000 or so Model 1907 rifles made after the end of World War II, and this example was evidently used by the Kingdom of Thailand, probably as a police weapon. As such, it is a rarely seen example of a foreign-used Winchester and would make a fantastic addition to any collection.
