WINCHESTER Model 1895 405 cal Rifle c1932 C&R
This is a scarce early 1932 Winchester Model 1895 lever action Rifle. This gun is chambered in .405 Win and has a 24 inch round barrel. The straight grain American walnut is free of cracks, dents or other damage but does have two refilled areas as seen in the photos where sling attachments were apparently installed. It has the schnable tip forearm and straight stock with crescent buttplate. The mechanics are in excellent shape and so is the bore. The condition of the finish on the barrel and magazine can be seen ijn the photos. The front top of the receiver is antiglare matted and has inscribed “N.L.B.” initials on the left side . It has the type 3 two piece finger lever. This rifle was manufactured in 1932 and was within the last ten model 1895 rifles produced by Winchester [542816 while last was 542825]. It is a fine example of a model 1895 having a premium feature such as 405 Win caliber. The “Blue Book” suggest a price premium of 50% for .405 caliber. Buyer pays $24.00 shipping plus $37 for insurance. A FFL or C&R License is required for transfer
