This is an outstanding Winchester 1873 3rd Model in .44-40 WCF. The rifle has a 24 inch nickel plate Octagon barrel with an adjustable rear semi-buckhorn sight and a Beach combination front sight. The rifle has $2.00 engraving that includes the top of the crescent butt, dust cover, top front of the receiver, behind the dust cover behind the hammer, the shell carrer, bottom of the receiver in front of the lever, forearm cap and both sides. The engraving is crisp and clear throughout. The American walnut stock looks to be a grade 2 or 3. The wood looks to have been cleaned and new oil applied. This is an outstanding rifle in tip top condition.This is an Antique and can be shipped straight to your home.
