Description:
S# 179776, 38 WCF (38-40), 24 inch octagon barrel, very good bore with frosting. This 1903 MFG rifle retains 20% blue on barrel, mostly on lower area by mag tube. Remainder of metal surfaces show a nice brown patina with light scratches. Frame has an added hole in left side for a receiver sight. Wood is very good with many dings and dents and a two inch grain crack at rear of forearm. Rear sight is cracked at left side of elevator. A well used example of a takedown 1892 rifle. As per Madis the takedown feature in the 1892 model is a relatively scarce item. The Winchester Museum information sheet is included. FFL or C&R
