Description:
S#49056, 22 LR, 28 inch barrel, bright, excellent bore. This 1948 MFG target rifle features Lyman #58 E rear and Lyman #77 target globe front sights. These are high sights, allowing the same line of vision as a scope, because stock is designed for scope use. Barrel and action retain 70% blue, turning brown with a few stains and spots of light oxidation. Bottom metal is brown. Magazine is a replacement. Stock shows many marks from use, sling swivels are mounted. We test fired this rifle, achieving sub one inch groups at 50 yards with CCI standard velocity ammo. This fine piece will make a great practice rifle for the bench-rest shooter or a fine entry level target gun. Rear sight wears a target aperture, front sight is interchangeable, currently also an aperture.
