Winchester Model 1886 Lightweight Rifle .33 W.C.F.
Description:
A solid, functional rifle, this Winchester was built in New Haven in 1908. A previous owner personalized the gun by carving a scene with a hunter shouldering a rifle to take a shot at a running 10 point whitetail buck on the right side of the stock. There are also three notches cut into the forward edge of the comb which we interpret as his "deer hunting scorecard".
SOLD
Curio/Relic: Yes Manufacturer:
1908 Caliber Info:
.33 Winchester Center Fire Metal Condition:
Bluing on receiver is approximately 65 - 75% intact, with most of the finish on the loading gate, top and bottom of the action being gray/brown patina.
