“Saved Searches” will search all the gun listings or Gun Related listings on GunsInternational.com, without you having to fill in your criteria over and over again.
To create a Saved Search:
Under the Buyer's Tools, click on Saved Searches
In the Saved Searches page, click on the link to "Add to Saved Searches"
Fill in the criteria that is important to you, name the Saved Search, and save it. Complete a "Saved Search” for each gun you wish to run searches for on GunsInternational.com. Once you have saved these search criteria you can visit your saved search page and run these at your convenience.
Broad Saved Searches: Fill out one search criteria such as the Sellers Screen Name, which will give you all new listings by a specific seller, Category for all new listings within that category or Manufacturer for all new listings within one manufacturer, etc. Another words one criteria will bring up all listings that match this single criterion.
The search may be narrowed by selecting more then one criteria.
Example:
Keyword: box lock
Category: Shotguns-English Double
Gauge: 16
The results will only include guns listed in the category Shotguns-English Double that are 16 gauge and have the exact match of box lock written in the description. Warning here, the English double 16 boxlock that you are looking for may be added to the site, but if the seller did not put the words box lock in the listing then you will not have a match. Be careful how much you narrow it down.
The Keyword searches the title and description and must match the text written in the listing. The word entered in the keyword box must match the text the seller uses exactly. The keyword phrase entered in the keyword box must match the text and order of the text the seller uses exactly. As no two sellers write their titles or descriptions the same, less is better here.
Example:
sxs will not match side by side. To further illustrate the details of this point, if you fill in just the word "box" in the keyword list, it will bring up any listing that contains "b o x " such as "Box lock" and "new in box", however the word "boxlock" together will not bring up box lock, as box lock written separately will be viewed at two separate words. Furthermore, the keyword phrases must match the same order as in the listing, Belgium Midas will not match Midas
