NICE ORIGINAL EARLY SMITH & WESSON 1950 MODEL 45 DOUBLE ACTION BOX
Description: *******SOLD******* Description- Smith & Wesson 1950 Model 45 Target Orig Box Reduced from $850, and this $600 is my Bottom Line Break-Even Price. This is also known as a pre-model 26. An original box for an Early Smith & Wesson 1950 Model 45 Target with 6-1/2” barrel. This is a solid box that has maintained its original shape, with no torn or weak corners and nice labels. Box exterior measures 13-1/8” x 4-5/8” x 1-7/8”. Exterior is maroon color, end label is white, and internal label is tan. Labels were made of good quality paper, so show no signs of being brittle. All box seams strong as new. There were only about 2700 of these revolvers made, and not all had 6-1/2” barrels. Like old leather holsters, these original boxes were normally thrown away, making them extremely rare to find in this condition. The serial number S-94113 remains on the bottom of this box. The serial number range for the Model 26 (1950 Model .45 Target Light Barrel) ran sporadically from S76212 thru S211000. According to the Blue Book of Gun Values by Fjestad, the 6-1/2” revolver with 100% finish is worth $4500. This box will add $1500 to the gun’s value. A picture of a Smith & Wesson 1950 Model 45 Target with 6-1/2” barrel is shown for reference only, and this image was found on the internet and Not for Sale with this Box. Terms: No International sales. Three day inspection period, but ask questions prior to buying (see additional notes on returns at bottom). Additional pictures sent on request.
