18K Solid Gold Cufflinks Pahlavi Royal Crown (Shah Of Iran)
Description:
A beautiful and rare set of solid gold 18k cufflinks in their original jewellers box, with a gold Pahlavi Crown on the silk of the lid. These cufflinks are 750 hallmarked with a small makers mark in the shape of a diamond. I am not sure where they were made, but probably in Europe. The cufflinks weigh 9.1 grams each for a total weight of 18.2 grams. These were most likely a gift from the Royal family, possibly to an ambassador, diplomat or head of state. Circa 1950's from their style and construction of the jeweller's box. A rare set of cufflinks from the Pahlavi Royal Family. The Shah himself was an accomplished hunter, who hunted big game worldwide, including the Grand Slam of North American sheep and countless other trophies that made the Boone & Crockett record book. These would be a great addition to a collection if one had one of his hunting rifles or double rifles, shotguns etc.
