Artillery Sword Belt Officers Dress
Description: This belt dates from the 1890 to 1940 period and it remains in very good condition with flexible leather and mostly intact gold bullion cloth overlay with three red stripes. The uniform protector chade is stamped "42" as is the tongue. No other markings are noted. The cast late style 1851 plate remains in excellent condition with a nice dark patina on face. This belt is very similar to one shown on page 20 of Dorsey's American Military and Naval Belts 1812 to 1902. A quite fancy US military belt, these are not easy to find with nice condition. SOLD Manufacturer: U.S. Model: Uniforms |
