A WWII Canadian net, this piece appears to be Canadian with a slightly brighter color. This piece is approx 40" by 32" which is smaller than the sniper's face veil. It has reinforced stitching on the ends to keep the netting from unraveling. This piece was acquired in Canada. We believe that this piece may be one of the Canadian airborne camouflage veils as shown on page 134 photo 236 of "Into the Maelstrom - The 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion" by Ken Joyce. These pieces were also utilized or worn as a scarf as per photo 60, 56, 53, 40 & 227 of the aforesaid reference.
