WW2 German Magazine Pouch MP.38/40 Triple Compartment
Description: This is an original 1943 dated, third type tan canvas pouch and is the right side pouch of a two-piece set that has a "clg" manufacturer's code and "WaA866" Waffenamt proof on one of the angled belt loops on the back (clg: Ernst Melzig Lederwaren). The canvas is in excellent condition with little evidence of any use and there are only some small spots of mild crazing and flaking on the leather loops and tabs. The heaviest crazing occurs on the Y-harness strap with some further minor discoloration of the D-ring and the white stitching is intact. These pouches are assumed to be intended for tropical use due to the color of the canvas and are sometimes associated with the Afrika Korps but they were issued generally and were also found in use in temperate regions as well. Regardless, this is a hard-to-find original wartime submachine gun magazine pouch and is in excellent overall condition. SOLD Manufacturer: German Model: Magazine Pouch |
