A World War I Naval Officers dress sword made by Ridabock & CO., New York, N.Y.It is in excellent condition. The overall length is about 37" with the blade and handgrip being 36" long. The makers name is on the blade near the grip. The blade is nice and shiney showing little in the way of stains or marks. It is highly engraved with the officers name ( Harold J. Levi) along with U.S.N., ( on both sides), stars, flags,an anchor, etc. The grip is very fancy with wire wraped around porcelain (?) and all intact showing little if any wear. The black leather scabbard has been repaired in two places where the leather apparantly split from age. The repair is barely noticeable because it is the same color (black) as the leather.
A very handsome approx. 100 year old sword. I acquired this sword from the career Naval Officer who carried it during World War I.
Selling a large collection. See all under "Romsey".
