Lenses in excellent condition without damages or cracks. Clear and Sharp View.Very rare scope, I think was made between 1910 to 1920. Company Tesco from Frankfurt on Oder produced shotguns(double and over/under) and Drilling rifle plus own rifle scopes to their rifles in Germany from 1890 to 1945. History you can find when Google. Rifle scope Collath 8 very rare because most of rifle scopes companies in this period made scopes with only elevation and focusing adjustments, but this scope have windage adjustment too. Also I think, in this period magnification 8X made only one more company DR.W.Gerard/Charlottenburg Model D. Reticle German #1(one vertical post and 2 bars-from both side) Magnification 8 X Length 330 mm or 13 inches Main tube diameter 26.50 mm Eye tube diameter 38 mm Objective tube diameter 35 mm Weight with claw mounts 486 g or 17.1 ounces Excellent scope for drilling, sporting and side by side(heavy caliber) collectible rifles.
