Sharpe Flintlock “Trade Pistol”. Barrel length 9”, and overall length is 15 ½”. Brass barrel marked: “Sharpe Extra Proof”. Lock is marked “Sharpe” for John Sharpe Manufacturing. The Northwest Company, a group of partners in Montreal sold many of these to the fur trade, and the British supplied them to the Indians during the War of 1812. This example is in superior condition compared to other examples. Stock contours are sharp. Brass is very fine with no abuse.
