GORGEOUS Engraved EUROPEAN Flintlock Horse Pistol
Description: GORGEOUS Engraved EUROPEAN Flintlock Horse Pistol ABSOLUTELY UNIQUE & EXQUISITE Here we present an antique Engraved European Flintlock Horse Pistol, made circa the early 18th Century, likely in France. This pistol features a long, 13-5/8 inch barrel that is engraved toward the breech with a long flat that guides the eye toward the target. The stock has a striped grain and is carved along the top of the wrist with a vine, as well as figures around the extensive brass hardware as to accentuate it. There is a brass medallion embedded in the stock just behind the wrist that bears a crown. This is likely a coat of arms. The lock is chisel engraved to include two human figures and several dogs. The forend of the stock and ramrod are tipped in ivory. The overall length is an impressive 21 inches. This pistol would have been at home in the pommel holster of a horseman. The overall condition is fine. The iron surfaces bear a deep plum patina. The stock has weathered the centuries beautifully with just a few nicks here and there. There is a tiny split on one of the barrel pins on the left side of the forestock. The ivory tip has been repaired at some point. The bore is smooth and untouched. The firing mechanism is excellent and strong. Here is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship from 18th Century Europe. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 13-5/8 inches. Caliber: .65 Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $2700 #5208 SOLD Antique: Yes |
