The Harpers Ferry Pistol was the first flintlock pistol requested by the American Government to equip the U.S. Navy. This pistol has an American Walnut stock with a polished steel barrel and garnitures of brass. Case hardened lock. The lock plate is engraved with “Harpers Ferry 1807” as well as an eagle over “US” located ahead of the hammer. The .58 caliber barrel is 10 1/16” long and is chromed and glazed outside. The tapered round barrel is fitted with a blade front sight. No rear sight is fitted, since this pistol was designed to be used at for defense at close range. The wooden ramrod is fitted with a flared brass tip and has a 10-32 threaded tip. A single wedge key and tang bolt mount the barrel to the stock. The overall length of the pistol is 16 1/8” and the overall weight is 2.53 lbs. Manufactured by Davide Pedersoli of Italy. This pistol has never been fired and is in as-new condition. The pistol comes with the original box, owner’s manual and CD showing the correct use and maintenance of a black powder firearm. No FFL required.
