French Model 1822 Cavalry Pistol
Description: Listed is a original French Model 1822 Percussion Cavalry pistol made at the French armory in St Etienne. These pistols were converted to percussion from flintlock in and around 1841. Here is an original and excellent example of this pistol which is in very good condition and well marked with an original ramrod which was also used to measure the charge. The nipple would have to be replaced if thinking of shooting this gun. The nipple will unscrew easy. Action is solid and works well. Small crack on front of stock which had been glued, should not affect operation. Caliber is around 17.1 I have only recently started to sell on guns International. I have however been selling on Gun since 2006 under the log in name of vankeurenmj with over 119 items bought and sold with a feedback rating of 100%. If interested in one of the items I am going to sell please check on my selling history with to see how I do business. As with any antique if you have any plans on shooting it please have it checked by a Gunsmith. Very few of the weapons I own do I ever shoot. Also please make sure that it is legal to own this weapon in your state. SOLD Antique: Yes Manufacturer: St Etienne Model: 1822 Serial Number: None Caliber Info: 17.1 |
